I’m a child of the southwest, and at any given time you can find me in California or Nevada or New Mexico or Texas or Arizona. For now, I dwell outside of Albuquerque, where I drink margaritas with the most beautiful and intelligent friends a girl could hope for and play endlessly with the most fascinating and intelligent children a mother could hope for. My current job is serving as academia’s bitch as I work my ass off to finish a dissertation in communications while getting paid pennies to teach undergrads part-time. I grumble, but I am passionately devoted to my work and love what I do. At the same time, it can be exhausting, so I am always conscious of stopping to take in life’s joys. I love the simple things, like laughter, and I’ve never been above laughing at myself . . . my life can be pretty freakin’ comical sometimes. :)
